I,ve always wanted to try bowfishing but I can't convince any of my friends to try it to
Is it possible to take in big alligator gar with just one arrow and one person
I'm mainly afraid because it looks like they have pretty good fight in them and I don't want to get my bow pulled in

ive never gone for alligator gar before, but from what i understand, they make an AMS reel called a "slotted retriever" so when u run outta line, it pulls out of the reel and is attatched to a buoy. if u have more than 1 bows/reals and a boat, im guessing u would be able to do, but it would be one hell of a time. maybe u would be able to talk one of ur friends into coming along to drive the boat and help bring em in. keep tryin to talk em into it, maybe supply them with a cheap 10 dollar real or something and go for carp and needle-nose gar if theyre in ur area. once u start u just cant stop good luck!

hey string twister, me and my friends use tips called "judo points" er somethin like that, they cause a lot of trauma to the animal and flip ur arrow if u miss (like thatll ever happen ) but just in case weve had good luck with these tips for birds, squirrels, and rabbits, havnt had anything get away yet.
