"Nice Fish"! Good shooting"! ...Don't mean to steal your thread (.223vv)...but..just wanted to also mention..I saw a documentary on the tv this morning about the enormous infiltration of "Asian Carp" into the Mississippi and Missouri and Ohio rivers as well as many others running into them! WOW! I couldn't believe the numbers of these fish! The guys in the boat had a hard time not getting hit by jumping fish! They said that those big 20lb'ers could nock out your teeth or worse! Then they used nets that had an electrical current running through it and touched them to the water and You coulda had a fish shoot with your 12 gauge! The air was literally full of fish! "Unbelievable"!

The main problem with the Asian Carp is that they take up too much space. Litteraly, they just take up too much room. They eat Micro-organisms and dont really compete w/ any other fish for food. Some groups want to introduce the Black Carp becuase it's primary food source is Zebra Mussels, another invasive species. And as for there being alot of them, there are. I quite often "snap shoot" them when the jump. They like slack water and jump due to the vibration of outboards. Pretty neat fish.........but not native.

A 20+ pounder jumped in my buddies lap this year. That time it was funny, but really its dangerous. Im afraid theyll never get them out.
