Mudduck	posted 01/01/2007 03:54 PM EST.    (butler1611@homail.com) Does crystal clear water make a bigger difference when shoot at fish? It was hard for me one min. we were in 4 foot of water and the 8 to 10 but we could not tell the difference in it, it was that clear and seems to make it harder to stick the fish.
Luke	Response #1 posted 01/01/2007 04:08 PM EST.     yeah deepness can really effect the arrow sticking a fish.. arrow wont penetrate deeper water all the way through... it slows down about 6 feet down
Mink	Response #2 posted 01/01/2007 04:23 PM EST.     Mudduck I've shot deep water most of my life. I little taller deck will help you greatly. If you shoot in shallow water you don't need to be that high but in deep water it is almost a must! And for deeper water I would suggest a much heavier draw weight to penetrate down deep. I used to shoot over 80 lbs when bowfishing up on the St. Lawerence river, Crystal Clear and deep!
