Here is our schedule of events and shoots for the upcoming year. Several dates are still up in the air, but we will add them as soon as we can. All are welcomed to our events and we will always take the time to get you started bowfishing. Several events including National Hunting and Fishing Days and Henry Silver Carp Fest will have on the water bowfishing ranges for kids and adults where you can try all the different and newest bowfishing equiptment. As always our club is 100% free, and all entry fees from our shoots are paid back to the participants 100%. See the attached link for a roundup of our year in 06 with lots of pictures. Hey Ejoe, welcome to BowCountry! Glad you could stop by. I know there's a few others around here from IL, WI or other surrounding areas.
Hey guys, Ejoe here is a great guy and a bowfishing machine! I plan on spending a lot of time this summer learning from this guy, wife permitting of course

E.Joe have u even gone bowfishing for silver carp on the illinois river? preferably in an area near wisconsin? me n some friends would like to do do it, but we have no clue where to go and we would like to camp out along the shoreline, would that be possible in most areas or is it all private property along it?

Hey Parker, guess what? We're heading up there in about 2 weeks I think. Well, some of the guys are, I will if I can get approval from the boss...err wife Ejoe was just telling me last night about a couple places they go. I think he said one was about an hour North of Madison, can't remember for sure though. Maybe you can meet up with us! I'll try to get more details and let you know if you're interested.

Parker, the best place for silver carp on the Illinois is anywhere downstream of the Starved Rock dam. They are not above it in big numbers.....yet.
We go in the town of Henry and Peru quite a bit. There os some great camping in henry. Starved Rock SP in Utica also has some great camping close to the water. Come summer give me a shout and we will get you out there. We have quite a few members from Wis. come down for silvers. Hopefully if it stays cold enough up there, we will be coming up to Wis in the next few weeks for some winter carp shooting.

sweet sounds good! thanks! what town are u guys goin to i live about 10 minutes or so south of madison. ive never done a winter shoot but it looks like it'd be a hoot!
