Thank you everyone! My net wasn't working last night and it was late when I got done cutting her up. Haven't been able to get online until now 'cause we have been busy at work tonight. So, yesterday I was debating on wether to go out or not. OBH was sick in bed and had been there all day and I wanted to go hunting. Got out in the stand and set up with out seeing anything but squirrels for a long time. A little movement out of the corner of my eye had me reaching for my bow. A small doe came in first followed immediately by a button buck. They started eating at the feeder. After a few minutes mama came in and circled around the fawns and the feeder. She waited then came back around the other side behind the brush. After standing around checking things out for a few minutes she walked behind a big double trunk tree. That's when I drew on her. I had to wait for what seemed like forever for her to step out. She walked out from behind the tree broadside. I thought I might have hit her a bit forward in my excitement. I watched her run off and heard her crash. I climbed down and went to look for my arrow. The firenock made it easy to see...and it was dripping in bright red blood and had chunks on it!!! I was pumped cause I knew it had been a good hit. The trail was easy to follow, looked like someone took can of red paint through the woods. I could have seen her from the stand if she hadn't been around the hillside. I did a little happy chicken dance and went to the house to get OBH! All I can say is It's about time! Even skinned and cut her up by myself. GO me! Oh and she was a yummy lunch today. Can't wait to go back out again! Just want to say thank you to dorge(firenock), wes(prostrings) and Dave. He did help a little bit.
