7 point Buck - 120Points
10/13/09

Well went out Thursday night in the rain. I wasnt in the stand for 15 min when the rain stopped and i looked over my shoulder to see him standing there at 74 yrds. Well the rain picked back up and he bedded back down at 70 yrds. I watched for 1 hour and then at 5:15 he stood up and began to eat. After watching him for a few minutes he began to walk off. He stopped at 70 yrds and began eating again, at this point in time i decided to take the shot, because he was walking away from me. So i settled my 70 yrd pin on his vitals and released the arrow. Initially i thought i missed but my disappointment was soon turned into excitement as the buck flipped over 50 yrds from where i shot him. Although he is only a 7 pt he still scores 128 7/8. The only reason why i took the shot was becuase i was completely comfortable with the situation. He was not alerted one bit and his head was behind a bush when i shot. Since i was able to watch him for so long i was able to calm my self down enough to really focus and make a good clean shot. I also practiced all summer and i felt extremely confident at that range. All in all it was the best shot i had ever made on a deer, it was a perfect complete pass through straight through the heart. What an amazing experience.
