...of the deer world! This doe was too darn curious and had to get to the bottom of this mystery.

I was making my way to my stand and just as I'm about to climb up my ladder, a doe starts blowing about 75 yards upwind. I'm in pretty thick bush so I can't see her but I can sure hear her. Well I get to the top, take my backpack off and tie off to the tree when I can hear her walking through the woods. Turns out she's walking downwind to come check out what was making all the noise! I barely got the bow up and an arrow nocked when she presented my with a 35 yard shot, slightly quartering away and I pulled the trigger. Heard her run off through the trees and she was down in less than 40 yards. Not too often I get a quick hunt, it was probably 10 minutes from when I left my truck to when I pulled the trigger!

I drove out with a buddy of mine so while I was waiting for him to finish his hunt, I took the .22 out to go look for some chickens and I got another Ruffed grouse. I just hope I can keep this roll going for my whitetail buck!
