Bow Hunting Bison in South Dakota

The weather turned bad on the first week in November 2003. It was 20 degrees here on the plains of South Dakota and we were hosting a group of 6 hunters for 3 days of Bison hunting on our ranch. The first day consisted of walking spoting Bison and then we tried our stalks. The Bison were very wary of us and the first day we could not get any closer than 60 yards. However, we had a blind fixed up for just that purpose and the second and third day we did not stalk. Instead, we waited in the blind and all 4 hunters got to harvest a 3 year old bull with their bows. The bulls weighed from 950-1000 pounds.
