Aim high on the wing. "Aim high and watch'em die, aim low and see'em go" I know I've posted one of these videos before but I couldn't find it easily. Now you have two good ones together. 2.) bluecat - 03/31/2016 I'd love to try a guillotine type of head but generally I'm shooting through mesh. Might be worth it to carry one or so in a pack for certain setup situations where you have a clear shot at a bird. 3.) Swamp Fox - 03/31/2016
Now you have two good ones together.
You do good work. :-) I'm out the door so I'll catch that second video later. You should try turkeys without the screen net if it's a problem. You'd be amazed what you can get away with on turkeys without mesh. You could dance a jig in a dark blind and get away with it, I believe. Something to do with their inability to see in the necessary dimensions to detect you inside a blind....along the same lines as the difficulty they have seeing you in the dark under their tree, and the trouble with vision in rain and mist. I've shot a handful of turkeys out of a blind with a bow, several well-under 10 yards and at least two with eyes toward me, and it was like I wasn't there...None of those times was I using mesh screen. I guarantee I wasn't hunkered down in a dark back corner, either...I was frantically trying to stick my bow out the window and see under the sill...LOL Try it, you'll like it. 4.) bluecat - 03/31/2016 I'm seriously considering it. Tell us about your turkey hunt when you get a chance. |
