Swamp Fox - 08/18/2017 I saw a very hot-looking car the other day and walked all around, but the best I could come up with from the lettering was that it was a Chevy SS. However, it was a two-door coupe and looked nothing like what I've seen on line, which has all been sedans/4-door, and really frumpy-looking. This looked a lot like a Mustang if Ford hadn't ever had any brain farts from the design team, ever. It's a new/newer model, but I can't place it. Help? If I see it again, I guess I better take a picture. http://www.motortrend.com/cars/chevrolet/ss/2017/2017-chevrolet-ss-first-test-review/ 2.) DParker - 08/18/2017 Beats me. As far as I know this was the last thing bearing "Chevy" and "SS" that was worth noticing. 3.) Swamp Fox - 08/18/2017 LOL...You ain't lyin'. I have a feeling I know who owns it, so I'll keep my eyes peeled. It was HAWT with a capital F...(Although I would have picked different wheels...LOL) 4.) Swamp Fox - 08/18/2017 :grin::grin: 5.) Wild Bob - 08/18/2017 Sorry, can't help you out on that one...I live in a truck world. The last car that was my daily driver was white 1977 Z-28; cramming a deer into that little trunk didn't work all that well and strapping them to the trunk/spoiler didn't work so good either (plus mud and blood all over that nice white paint didn't look so hot) . The other down side was that it got stuck all the time checking my trapline, so I've been a 4 wheel truck guy ever since then. :-) 6.) Swamp Fox - 08/18/2017 Amateur! Everyone knows that a Delta 88 is what you want! 7.) Wild Bob - 08/21/2017
Amateur! Everyone knows that a Delta 88 is what you want!
I did have a buddy that had a 1979 Zephyr...it was originally his grandfather's car and he inherited it. Oh the torture he put that poor thing through!! 8.) Swamp Fox - 08/21/2017 The more I think about it, I bet it was a Camaro. Really, I'm out of other guesses. Anyway...HAWT! DParker - 08/21/2017 This is going to be my first "winning lottery ticket" purchase: 11.) Swamp Fox - 08/21/2017 LOL...I love candy-apple red. A guy I used to hunt with has a gorgeous (garaged) Corvette that color (or very close). I can't remember the year, but it is SO sweet. Not every Corvette looks good to me, but this one was fine with a capital ...um... F. I should check and see if he still has it, in case my ship comes in, LOL. 12.) DParker - 08/21/2017 As much as it pains me to give Government Motors any credit for anything, they've done a damned fine job with the latest crop of Stingrays. 13.) bluecat - 08/21/2017
LOL...I love candy-apple red. Swamp Fox - 08/21/2017 I spent so much money on strippers and booze that I could have had one by now, if I hadn't wasted the rest. 15.) Swamp Fox - 08/21/2017 Imagine it blue, with a scraped left rear quarter panel. Spittoon on the dashboard, hat rack above the mirror, horseblanket seat covers and a cooler of Busch Beer. Add assorted gear per specific adventure. Figure possibility of stale PBR and rotting animal parts forgotten in the trunk. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes...It's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses... 16.) bluecat - 08/21/2017 ...and you step in to a diner and order two chickens and a coke. 17.) DParker - 08/21/2017 That's funny. My first car was also a POS Olds...a '68 Cutlass, with barely functional brakes. It looked slightly better than this one (same color though): 18.) Swamp Fox - 08/21/2017 I was actually surprised when I went down memory lane and figured out/remembered it was a '72...That's the newest vehicle I've ever owned, LOL. Before that, I had access to a '69 Ford stationwagon with the fake wood paneling in high school. Excellent beach mobile! There's a picture out there of me on my 18th birthday with it that probably won't ever make it to the internet...LOL 19.) Swamp Fox - 08/21/2017 I liked those Cutlasses. Had a friend with a cherry in gold with the vinyl top. Chick magnet. 20.) Swamp Fox - 08/21/2017 LOL! Is there a reason I'm hearing Todd Rundgren in my head? Good times...Good times... Better than I thought at the time. 22.) Swamp Fox - 08/21/2017 I would have played the version of that with the clips from the show, but it's too sappy/too close to home for anyone who lived through it, and I figured "Who needs that?" LOL But kudos to whoever put it together...:-) 23.) Swamp Fox - 08/21/2017 Okay, was that a show stopper? LOL How about this? ---Don't worry, I'll transfer everything over to the music thread... 24.) Jon - 08/22/2017 Here's my first car, 72 Pontiac Catalina 25.) Swamp Fox - 08/22/2017 Another beast! :tu: 26.) Swamp Fox - 08/23/2017 What this thread is missing is pics of Crookedeye's '75 Pinto... 27.) DParker - 08/24/2017
What this thread is missing is pics of Crookedeye's '75 Pinto...
I rear-ended one of those in '79 with my '76 Firebird. Imagine my relief when it didn't explode (as those Pintos were famous for doing). 28.) Swamp Fox - 08/24/2017 29.) DParker - 08/24/2017 Put Tennessee tags on it and that's the one. 30.) Swamp Fox - 08/24/2017 I had a pretty scary car accident in the '70s because I was fooling with the radio. At first I was afraid...I was petrified... 31.)
