Swamp Fox - 03/11/2019 Went out of his way to be a good host to strangers. Always good to me, and a kindred spirit, I think, though we did not know each other well at all -- except through hunting, and by bow and arrow, which is to say more and better than most. "I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again." R.I.P., brother. 2.) Swamp Fox - 03/18/2019 A lot of times if you miss flydown, you can just wait a couple of hours and miss when they want to come to your calls, too. So it doesn't really matter when you get out there.... 29.) Swamp Fox - 03/18/2019 Also, I've got a lot of good tunes to play at a funeral, if you want to hear them ... 30.) billy b - 03/19/2019
i never new roy billy. i forget who he was but i remember the pig hunt days where roy was always mention and he was kinda a guy that i liked because of you..it was like if he new billy he was a friend of mine..i had friend that died 3 or 4 years ago craziest thing in the world. i miss my buddy to this day..
Roy was the man that owned the ranch where we held the Texas pig hunts, he charged us nothing and went out of his way to see that we had a great hunt, he was in his 50's and caught a viral infection and couldn't beat it, it fought for about three weeks before he died. He was a strong healthy man before he caught the infection, it took him down fast. I've never met a nicer more generous person in m life. It's such a shame. I don't remember how to put up pics on here, maybe Dave, Jon, or someone who hunted there could put some up. 31.) Swamp Fox - 03/20/2019 I have some group pics, but they're on another computer. It will take me some time to get to it. I think our best bet is for someone to roust Dave, or even Alex. Alex is still around, right? Did they ever figure out what the virus was or how he got it? I think you're right, Billy. You could never meet a nicer guy than Roy. Just the fact that he put up with us goobers was one sign, but one of several things that made a big impression on me was that somehow he knew I would be interested in a QDMA conference he was going to and got me all the info. He loved that stuff. I always regretted that I didn't make a bigger effort to go, but even more so now. 32.) billy b - 03/21/2019 Yep, Dave and Jon have a lot of pics. 33.) crookedeye - 03/24/2019 i remember we buried my friend and geese flew over, it was somthing.. 34.) Swamp Fox - 03/24/2019 Hey, Alex ... 35.) luv2bowhunt - 03/26/2019 I think Alex caught the virus too. I don't think he shot any arrows into any trees though, that would've taken effort. He never hunted, just took pictures of people who hunted. I miss the guy, he was a good friend. RIP Alex. 36.) luv2bowhunt - 03/26/2019 He had a giant pig, man that thing was big. Him and I were pretty tight, I miss him so much. Well........not really, but he had a giant pig. 37.) luv2bowhunt - 03/26/2019 I found this picture. 38.) billy b - 03/26/2019 I see what you did, you are a sorry person for inserting your hero into our Battle Mtn Pic. I guess you will never change, I feel soooo sorry for your wife:td: 39.) luv2bowhunt - 03/26/2019 LOL I kind of remember messing with that pic years ago for some post. Not sure what the subject was but I'm sure it was about Swampy. There are many reasons to feel sorry for my wife, believe me. 40.) billy b - 03/26/2019
LOL I kind of remember messing with that pic years ago for some post. Swamp Fox - 03/27/2019 Roy was a quiet guy and I think he liked to watch us clowns perform more than to be front and center where he'd be in a lot of pics, even by accident. He is on the end at the left on the top row of Luv2's pic. He had a good sense of humor, and I think he got a real kick out of the White Elephant drawing ... LOL 42.) Swamp Fox - 03/27/2019 ...... 43.) Swamp Fox - 03/27/2019 .... 44.) Swamp Fox - 03/27/2019 Dang ... Ask JB, I sent him a shoo-fly pie years ago. 46.) luv2bowhunt - 03/27/2019
Dang ... Freakin' Alex ...
I told you years ago he didn't care about you. No one ever listens to me.:-) 47.) Jon - 03/29/2019 Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of Roy. He was a very friendly and quiet man who gave us the best thing a man can give, friendship. Here's one of my favorite pictures of another awesome guy, Billy. He has many of the same traits as Roy and anyone who has met him knows what I'm saying. 48.) Jon - 03/29/2019 And then there's Jerry, what can I say about this man? 49.) Jon - 03/29/2019 Here's a load of pigs we shot in 1 afternoon, that was an awesome year! 50.) Jon - 03/29/2019 Here was the biggest one I've taken down there, we always had so much fun at Roy's place. 51.)
