Swamp Fox - 04/10/2013 Good to see a few places still allowing shark fishing...And that's all I have to say about that... Swamp Fox - 04/10/2013 I kinda got a kick out of the internet headline, considering that a really "huge" mako starts north of a thousand pounds, LOL. In my opinion, of course. This was no little skipper, though. :wink 4.) DParker - 04/10/2013 When we chartered a fishing boat during our Cabo vacation a few years ago we spotted a Mako and the crew tried to put us on him...though he apparently wasn't in a feeding mood at the time and ignored our bait. I have no idea how big he really was, but if we'd gotten him in the boat he would have been 20 ft long by the time I told the story. Though he wasn't nearly as big as the whale shark we got to see from about 100 ft away....which was seriously cool. 5.) bluecat - 04/10/2013 I don't know a lot about sharks. I know that they have a sharp end and a wriggly end. The two men seem (to me) to be standing dangerously close. 6.) DParker - 04/10/2013 And if I'd been fishing from a kayak at the time the shark would have been 30 ft long by the time I'd changed my shorts. http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/excursions/post/huge-shark-gives-kayak-angler-a-major-surprise/ Note to self: Don't fish from a boat that's small enough to be eaten by the local fish. 7.) Swamp Fox - 04/11/2013 Lol...I was just about to post that kayak story...Some serious sphincterage going on there... |
