Ventilator - 12/10/2013 Got them back today. I shot both of these on back to back days during the 2012 Nebraska archery season. Left one is 166 gross , right is 144. Rounded gross scores. My two best ever days of bowhunting and my two best archery whitetails. Wanted to have a unique mount to remember the hunts with. 2.) Deerminator - 12/10/2013 Cool:tu: 3.) Swamp Fox - 12/10/2013 :tu: Does the shed have a story or is it just there for atmosphere? 11.) Ventilator - 12/10/2013
:tu: Does the shed have a story or is it just there for atmosphere?
The shed has a very unique story. GOES Like this: I was crawling around trying to follow blood in sand and brown grass.(very difficult!) The trail led into a very tight cedar thicket. Luckily the buck was following a game trail. Several yards into the thicket i came across that shed. Not thinking much about it, i stuffed it in my pack belt and continued on. I eventually found the buck 60-70 yds deep in the thicket. We were all sitting there admiring the buck and talking about how it played out. I decided to pull out the shed and examine it closer. At this point , i noticed it had a deep inside curl on it , just like the 6x6 id just killed. I put the shed up against the right antler. Amazingly , it was as perfect a match as you could imagine. We were all sure this was the shed from the buck id killed. He added a few inches of beam length and a G4, otherwise the curve and the G1,2&3s all matched perfect. The unique deep inside curl really told it all. I dont find many sheds and to find the shed of the buck id killed , while blood trailing, was unbelievable! 12.)
