I think he done a fairly good job considering he's a second year taxidermy, and gave me a free cape since the coyotes chewed on the original one. I wish I could've gotten a bigger cape but beggars can't be choosers.

I didn't get his teeth aged but my best guess form trail cam pics was 4 1/2 yo. I roughed scored him at about 126" haven't got him officially done yet.

I was kinda scared to let a 2nd year guy do it. I called him to talk about getting the skull cleaned and dipped, after I told him what happened he said he had a cape he'd let me have If I just paid regular taxidermy fee. He explained that he is a firefighter and is trying to start a taxidermy business on his days off. Being a firefighter myself I figured I give him a shot. I'm really pleased with the quality of it, the eyes look better than my other mount that was done by a 20+ year full time taxidermist. My only complaint is he has an abnormal looking hump on the right side of his neck where he looks left. I imagine he'll get my next deer whenever that is.

Got him scored today at the backwoods show. Gross 126 6/8 and net 124 3/8. Missed pope and young by 5/8 a inch lol.
