Alexa Brenneman, a member of the Ben-Gals from approximately May 2013 through Jan. 2014, alleges she is compensated, at most, $90 per home game at which the Ben-Gals cheer. Brenneman says between mandatory practices, public appearances, pregame time at the stadium and calendar posing/promotions, she works more than 300 hours a year for the Bengals' organization. Yet, she claims her pay rate comes out to less than $2.85 an hour, well under the 2013 Ohio minimum wage rate of $7.85. DParker - 02/20/2014 I say the Bengals should pay these women more, lest the team end up with a cheerleading squad named "The Ben-Gays". 3.) bluecat - 02/20/2014 I was thinking she would take the same stance the football players did (see what I did there?) She only has a short time to get that kind of money (Who wants to see hagged out cheerleader?) so she deserves more. 4.) bluecat - 02/20/2014 When I first saw she was making $2.85/hour I thought, yeah that's about right. 5.) BULLZ-i - 02/20/2014 CUTE AND STUPID, JUST THE WAY I LIKE EM 6.) DParker - 02/20/2014 Are you calling bluecat stupid? 7.) Hunter - 02/20/2014 I'm assuming she knew the pay before she took the job? :cf: 8.) Deerminator - 02/20/2014 For cry'n out loud. We hardly see more than 3 seconds of cheerleaders durring a game any more. 9.) Swamp Fox - 02/20/2014 Give them some Patron...That'll keep 'em happy for a while, but watch out for the personality change at Shot Number Four. That's when you tell the contract lawyer it would be better if he left quietly and came back in a couple of days... |
